The Best Table Services Restaurant at Animal Kingdom

Tusker House – The only character dinning here. It is an African inspired buffet. All hosted by Donald and his pals Mickey, Goofy, and Daisy. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will find the same menu for lunch and dinner. Serving breads, salad, Tandoori Chicken, Green Curry Shrimp, Chicken Curry, Za’tar Braised Beef, Chermoula Salmon Filets. Lots of side options and even kid options like corn dogs and Mac and Cheese.

Yak and Yeti – You will find a large menu at Yak and Yeti from small plates, shareable, soups, noodles, bowls, and items from the grill and wok. Plus, they have some classics for kids like cheeseburger, chicken, corn dogs, and Mac and cheese. You will definitely find something on the menu that everyone will like.

Tiffins – Tiffins is going to be more fine dining inside the park. It’s going to be $32-$65 for a main dish. You will find dished like veal, surf and turf, butter chicken, and more. While we think this is one of the best table service restaurants in animal kingdom and the food is amazing it is on the pricey side and don’t have much that our kids liked.

The Best Quick Services Restaurant at Animal Kingdom

Flame Tree Barbecue – When eating quick service sometimes finding seating can be difficult. That is not their case here at Flame Tree. It’s has so much seating with beautiful views. One of the best places for a nice spot to eat and realize with lots of shade. Here you can find all your classic BBQ like pulled pork and ribs. The onion rings are amazing and the baked Mac and cheese with pulled pork was a favorite. They also have hot dogs and PB&J for the kids.

Satu’li Canteen – Satu’li Canteen is our favorite restaurant in all of animal kingdom. Even being there hundreds of times we still stop for lunch or dinner. You can pick from chicken, beef, shrimp, or a combination bowl. Pick your base and sauce to go with it. This is also the place you can get the popular cheeseburger steamed pods. They have the option of bowls for kids as well as hot dogs and cheese quesadillas.

Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes – This spot is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can get breakfast bowls or sandwiches on English muffins. They have kids pancakes and French toast. Same recipe for lunch and dinner. We loved the honey sesame chicken but our favorite is the American Kobe cheeseburger.

The Best Snacks Restaurant at Animal Kingdom

Dino-Bite Snacks – You can find ice cream flats and sundaes here, but our all-time favorite is the ice cream cookie sandwich. A classic vanilla ice cream served between freshly baked soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies.

Harambe Fruit Market – You can find lots of your basic snacks here like fruit, chips, and mini Babybel cheese. But we come here for the grilled corn on the cob with African spices. It tastes amazing and is seasoned perfectly.

Nomad Lounge – The perfect place to stop in for a refreshing drink and small plate appetizer. Some of our favorites include the honey-chili glazed pork belly and churros, which are served with a vanilla crema and strawberry-guava sauce.

Trilo-Bites – Head to Dino land to pick up one of my all-time favorite snacks! Buffalo chicken chips are one of my favorites. House made chips topped with buffalo chicken, blue cheese, and a tomato and celery relish.

You can also find the Trilo-Bite Twist here that is made with Dole whip and vanilla soft serve.

Pongu Pongu – The Pongu Lumpia is a Pineapple-Cream Cheese Spring Roll and while some people don’t enjoy this those who do love it. And we love it! It’s also the spot to find the night blossom which is an apple and desert pear limeade topped with boba balls.

Isle of Java – This is one of my all-time favorite spots for a snack because it has Joffrey’s coffee which is the perfect pick me up during a long day in the parks. And if you stop for a coffee you will want to grab a tiger tail chocolate twist, they are so good!

The Best Kid Friendly Restaurant at Animal Kingdom

Pizzafari – Both of these kid’s friendly restaurants probably would not make it to our favorite list if you are traveling without kids. You will find your basics here like pizza, salad, and even a chicken parmesan sandwich.  The kid’s menu has cheese pizza, pasta, and PB&J. My kids loved this colorful and classic restaurant and if you have picky eaters, it’s great.

Restaurantosaurus – Restaurantosaurus is another true classic that is great if you have kids that are not so adventurous with their food. You will find hot dogs, chili dogs, burgers, and chicken. The kid’s menu has burgers, Mac and cheese, and chicken nuggets. Plus, they have tons of indoor seating, topping bar for your burger, and you can refill your drinks in the seating area! Our kids love the theming in this restaurant you can pick from lots of different rooms to sit in.

The Worst Restaurants at Animal Kingdom

Rainforest Cafe – While the Rainforest Cafe isn’t terrible the entire experience is just nothing to write home about. I know lots of people enjoy it, but for us it lacks the “Disney” feeling you get at other places. Plus, you can find them in so many other places in America so we would suggest to a Disney exclusive restaurant instead.

Creature Comforts – For the same reasons as above Creature Comforts is just Starbucks coffee that you can get outside the park anytime. It’s mostly your basic menu that you will find all over and it’s usually a pretty long line. If you want coffee I suggest Isle of Java for a cup of Joffrey’s coffee.
