Dug and Russell from Pixar’s Up! are back at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! The Dug and Russell Meet and Greet is located in Discovery Island to the right of the Tree of Life at the Wilderness Explorers Club House 

Meeting characters is one of the best things to do at a Disney Park. Every park has a variety of characters you can meet. A lot of characters have returned since the pandemic, when most of the character meet and greets were closed.

Pixar’s Up! characters Russell and Dug have finally returned in March of 2024 at Animal Kingdom!

Where Can You Dug and Russell:

You can meet Dug and Russell from Pixar’s Up at Discovery Island. They are located to the right of the Tree of Life at the Wilderness Explorers Club House. It is right next to the entrance to It’s Tough to Be a Bug.

They are available typically from 9-5pm. Make sure to check the Disney My Experience App for times on the day you go.

The characters typically meet by themselves at alternating times throughout the day. On a very rare occasion they both will be there at the same time.

Russell Meet and Greet:

Meet Russell and check out all his Wilderness Badges he has! You can even do the Wilderness Explorer Call with him!

Dug Meet and Greet:

Dug is also available to meet. The talking dog from Up! is here, however he doesn’t speak.
