The Pirates of the Caribbean Ride is the classic dark boat ride through the story of Captain Jack Sparrow. Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of being a pirate in the Caribbean.

Pirates of the Caribbean is a classic, world-famous ride that takes you on a barge through 17th century Caribbean. Sail past Dead Man’s Cove and down past a Caribbean fort. Enter into Tortuga and see the pirates ransack through the city. Keep an eye out for Captain Jack Sparrow on your trip.

Location:

Located in Adventureland at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. It is right in the center of Adventureland.

Lightning Lane is available for purchase on this ride through Disney’s Genie+. You can purchase it on the Disney My Experience App.

The wait times for the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride is typically around 45 minutes, but can get longer on busier days. The que is long, but is all indoors so you will be in the AC during the wait.

Height And Age:

There is no heigh requirement for this ride. All ages can ride.

Handicapped Accessibility:

This ride is handicap accessible, but riders must be able to transfer to the ride vehicle. DAS is available for this ride as well. Wheelchairs and ECVs can be taken to the ride entrance.

Ride Review:

We love Pirates of the Caribbean. It is one of our favorite rides, and yes, we love almost all of Disney’s rides. There is something nostalgic about this ride that just says classic Disney. Walt Disney designed this ride when he created Disneyland, and then it was brought to Disney World. This ride has the world famous song “Yo Ho, Yo Ho a Pirate’s Life for Me,” as well as some of the best smells and scents used on Disney rides. We love this ride, and know you will too!
