Haunted Mansion is the “haunted” dark ride at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Ride a Doom Buggy through the Haunted Mansion and beware of hitchhiking ghosts!
The Haunted Mansion Disney World is on of Magic Kingdom’s most famous rides. It is an opening day attraction of Magic Kingdom from October 1, 1971.
Ride a Doom Buggy and go through the mansion seeing and visiting a variety of ghosts and Madame Leota.
Location:
The Haunted Mansion – Disney World is located in Liberty Square of Magic Kingdom. It is open from park open until park close.
Height Requirements:
All ages can ride this ride. There is no height requirement.
Lighting Lane:
Lightning Lane is available for this ride and can be purchased via the My Disney Experience App with Genie+.
Disney Photopass:
The ride is equipped with a Photopass picture near the end of the ride, where the hitchhiking ghosts can be met. You will need Memory Maker for this photo.
Handicapped Accessibility:
The ride is handicap accessible. Riders must be able to transfer to the ride vehicle. The DAS pass is available to use on this ride as well.
Wheelchairs and other assistance vehicles can be ridden to almost the ride start. The rider will have to walk on a moving platform, that can be slowed down or even stopped if needed to get on the ride.
Gift Shop:
The Haunted Mansion does have a gift shop associated with it. Haunted Mansion merch is very sought after and guest love it. It is called Memento Mori and is located just outside of the Haunted Mansion before leaving Liberty Square heading towards Fantasyland.
Ride Review:
Haunted Mansion is a classic Disney dark ride. It can actually be found in 4 different parks across the world!
The ride is a slow-moving ride, and it can be very dark at times. While it is a “Haunted Mansion” little kids may get scared. There is no “gore” on the ride, but some images may be frightening for kids.
