Dumbo the Flying Elephant may be one of the most famous rides in the world! Climb aboard Dumbo and soar over Storybook Circus. Timothy leads the parade of elephants as you check out the views of Magic Kingdom.

This iconic ride is loved by all and is simple yet a ton of fun.

Location:

Dumbo is located in the back of Fantasyland at Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Storybook Circus. It is across from the Big Top Souvenirs and is in the same area you can ride Goofy’s Barnstormer and Pete’s Silly Sideshow.

Lightning Lane:

Lightning Lane is available for purchase on this ride through Disney’s Genie+. You can purchase it on the Disney My Experience App.

The wait times for Dumbo the Flying Elephant can get pretty long. This is one of the more popular rides at Disney. A Lightning Lane may help alleviate some of the wait times on longer days.

Height And Age:

There is no heigh requirement for this ride. All ages can ride.

Dumbo Play Area:

Inside the circus tent leading to Dumbo is a play area. It is the waiting area before getting to ride the ride. All guests going in the standby que will enter and wait in the play area. Lightning Lane riders typically do not stop at the play area.

It is themed after the actual circus Dumbo is part of. He is flying over above the play area.

Handicapped Accessibility:

This ride is handicap accessible, but riders must be able to transfer to the ride vehicle. DAS is available for this ride as well. Wheelchairs and ECVs can be taken to the ride entrance.

Ride Review:

Dumbo the Flying Elephant is a classic and iconic Disney ride. Similar in style to Aladdin’s Magic Carpet Ride, it is simple as it just goes around in a circle. You can control the height of Dumbo.

It’s fun, and a quick ride. Kids to adults of all ages can ride it, and enjoy it! You definitely need to ride it at least once!
