Location:

Nestled beside the Sassagoula River, Port Orleans French Quarter offers a smaller, more intimate resort experience just a short ride from the major parks. It’s about a 15–20 minute bus trip to Magic Kingdom and similarly close to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. Guests also enjoy the peaceful boat ride over to Disney Springs, adding a magical way to get around.

  • Magic Kingdom: ~15–20 minutes by bus
  • EPCOT: ~10–15 minutes by bus
  • Hollywood Studios: ~10–15 minutes by bus
  • Animal Kingdom: ~15–20 minutes by bus
Plus, you get a unique perk: boat transportation to Disney Springs, which adds a little magic to your stay and is something not many resorts offer!

Check‑In at the Resort:

Official check-in time starts at 3:00 PM, but guests can use Disney’s mobile pre-check-in option through the My Disney Experience app to get a head start on paperwork before arrival.

Once your room is ready, you’ll receive a notification, allowing you to head straight to your room with your MagicBand or phone.

If you arrive early and your room isn’t ready, Bell Services will happily store your luggage so you can start enjoying the parks or resort amenities immediately.

TRANSPORTATION:

Transportation at French Quarter includes frequent buses to all four theme parks and Disney Springs. The buses run from about 45 minutes before park opening until an hour after closing.

Plus, one of the highlights is the Sassagoula River Cruise, a charming boat ride to Disney Springs, operating roughly from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM. It’s a scenic, relaxing way to travel and adds a touch of magic to your trip.

DINING:

Unfortunately, there are no sit down or character dining restaurants at The French Quarter. There is a quick-serve cafeteria style dining area, a lounge, and a pool bar.
