Disney’s Old Key West Resort brings the vibes and style of Florida Keys to Disney World. This Deluxe Disney Vacation Club resort has rooms from studios to a 3-bedroom Granb Villa. With 4 pools, Olivia’s Cafe and plenty of activities to do, this resort is great for the family vacation.
Disney’s Old Key West Resort:
Disney’s Old Key West resort has a laid back and relaxing feel like you would find in the Keys. It’s home to many Disney Vacation Members (DVC). This resort has studio rooms, 1- and 2-bedrooms, and 3-bedroom Grand Villa. There are four pools, four playgrounds, two tennis courts, basketball court and a beach volleyball court. The resort is nestled between some of the best golf in Disney with views of Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. You can also take a boat ride to Disney Springs from Old Key West Resort.
Can I stay at Old Key West Resort even if I’m not DVC?
Yes! Anyone can book a room at Old Key West Resort. Availability is limited for this Deluxe resort, but you do not have to be a DVC member to book a room here.
Resort Map:
The resort winds around the golf course and waterways. The nice thing about this resort is that parking is in front of all the buildings. So, if you drive a vehicle, you do not have to worry about parking in a large lot away from your room.

The resort is in the Disney Springs region of Disney World. It is also very close to Epcot and Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.
Resort Rooms:
Old Key West has 4 room types. They are the Deluxe Studio, 1 Bedroom Villa, 2 Bedroom Villa, and the 3 Bedroom Grand Villa.
What Amenities Come in the Rooms?
The Studio has a smaller amenity list then the villas do. The main difference are these amenities:

- Regular bathroom with no Whirlpool Tub
All the Villas have these amenities, and besides the differences above the Studios also have most of the amenities below as well:

Deluxe Studio has 2 queen beds and sleeps up to 4 adults. This is the standard room at Old Key West. These rooms have views of the waterways, woodlands, and golf course.
1 Bedroom Villa: These rooms sleep up to 5 adults with 1 king bed, 1 queen size sleeper sofa, and 1 twin size sleeper chair. These rooms have views of the waterways, woodlands, and golf course.
2 Bedroom Villa: These rooms sleep up to 9 adults with 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, 1 queen size sleeper sofa, and 1 twin size sleeper chair. These rooms have views of the waterways, woodlands, and golf course.
3 Bedroom Villa: These rooms sleep up to 12 adults with 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, 2 double beds, 1 queen size sleeper sofa, and 1 twin size sleeper chair. These rooms have views of the waterways, woodlands, and golf course.
Check In and Hospitality House:
Check-in: 4pm / Check-out: 11am
The Hospitality House is nice and open. The check-in/check-out desk and concierge desk are located here as well. Express checkout is available here also.


Transportation:
Bus: Outside of the Hospitality House is the Transportation Depot. You can catch a bus to all the Parks, Disney Springs, and Water Parks. The Hospitality House is the last stop on the bus route inside the resort.
This is also where you can get the buses to the airport and for a Disney Cruise.
Ferry: Take a complimentary water taxi over to Disney Springs. The ferry runs from 10am until 11pm, with the last ferry coming back from Disney Springs at 11:30pm.
Minnie Van: You can rent a Minnie Van for an extra cost through Lyft.
Dining at Old Key West:
Old Key West Resort has one table service restaurant, two counter-service or quick service food locations, and one bar.
Table Service:
Olivia’s Cafe is the only table service restaurant at this resort, and you will need a reservation to eat here. Olivia’s Cafe serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s home-style cooking and most meals range from $15-$35.
Don’t have a reservation? You can also get Olivia’s to go and take it back to your room. Walk-ins are welcome, but they are only available based on their current reservation list.

Quick Service:
Old Key West only has one main quick service restaurant that is located outside the main pool.
Good’s Food To Go serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is open from 7:00 am-10:00pm. You can get our full review and check out what’s on the menu in our review.
Turtle Shack Poolside Snacks is located in the pool area at the Old Turtle Pond Pool. It’s open for lunch each day at 11:30 AM – 5:30 PM. If you want more information and a full menu of what they serve you can read our review.
Gurgling Suitcase is open daily from 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM. They serve specialty drinks, cocktails, beers, and wine. They also have a few appetizers and menu items served until 9:00 PM. You can get our full review and check out what’s on the menu in our review.
Shopping:
There is a General Store at Old Key West. You can get everything from Disney Parks souvenirs, Old Key West specific merchandise, DVC specific merchandise, and general goods for your stay.
The General Store has a lot of great merchandise and also plenty of food and drinks to stock your refrigerator in your room. There are also things like personal supplies like suntan lotion, some medicines, and hygiene products available.
Resort Activities:
Old Key West has tons of things to do on your vacation. From a pool day, to playing pool, to tennis, and even a campfire for roasting S’mores there is plenty for everyone to do and have fun.
Conch Flats Community Hall is where you will find a lot of activities and information on activities around the resort. In the hall you can play or check out equipment for things like foosball, video games, ping-pong, shuffleboard, tennis, basketball, and volleyball.
You can also create crafts. Some are paid and some are complimentary. You can also sign out DVDs to enjoy in your room.
Bike and Surrey Bike Rentals:
There are bikes and surrey bikes you can rent for a casual bike ride across the resort on their pathways and trails.
You can even enjoy some fishing. On a guided fishing excursion where you can catch and release in a pontoon boat. 2 hour and 4-hour excursions are available.
Playgrounds can be found in all the pool areas. The playgrounds do require adult supervision and are made for ages 5-12.
Old Key West Campfire activities:
Every night from 6:30-7:30pm weather permitting Old Key West will light their campfire near the main pool area. This activity is for roasting marshmallows and roasting sticks are complimentary, but you can purchase a pack of crackers and chocolate inside the hall to make S’mores.
Movies Under the Stars
Almost all Disney resorts offer a complimentary outdoor movie usually located near the main pool area. Old Key West’s outdoor movie will be near the Sandcastle Pool. Movies will show at 8:30 on Sundays, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Check your hall for posted movie titles.
Old Key West Exercise Room:
The fitness room has treadmills, bicycles, ellipticals, stair climbers, free weights, and weight machines. The exercise room is available to anyone saying at Old Key West. Guests must be 14 and should be accompanied by an adult if 17 or younger. It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Old Key West Arcade:
All Disney resorts have an arcade room. The arcades carry a variety of video games and skill games. You have to get a game card from one of the vending machines. You can add different dollar amounts for however much you want to play.
Old Key West Resort Pools:
The Sandcastle Pool is the main pool. It is a 146,000 gallon pool. There is a kiddie pool area, and plenty of lounge chairs and umbrella covered tables.
There is a 125-foot-long waterside though a giant sandcastle. There is a sauna inside the pool deck’s lighthouse.
Family friendly pool activities like games, relays, and trivia take place at the Sandcastle Pool. You can go to the recreation hall to get more information on when and what is available.
Old Key West Leisure Pools:
There are three leisure pools at the resort. These pools do not have lifeguards on duty and are much smaller than the main pool area. All leisure pools also have a whirlpool spa and a playground.
Miller’s Road Pool:
Located on the Miller’s Road area of Old Key West features lounge chairs and is surrounded by lush vegetation.
Old Turtle Pond Pool:
Is a leisure pool that also has the Turtle Shack Poolside Snack bar. You can also enjoy playing shuffleboard and cornhole.
South Point Pool:
This leisure pool is an open pool area with lounge chairs and picnic tables. There is even a charcoal grill if you want to do some grilling!
Complimentary towels are provided at all pools. Along with life jackets for kids to use if needed.
Other Amenities:
Laundry and Dry-Cleaning Services: Each of the 4 pools on property have a 24-hour self-service Landry room. If you are interested in dry cleaning you can drop off items at Bell Services prior to 9:00 AM.
Parking and other amenities:
Overnight self-parking is available to guest but will have a fee. Parking fees range from $25-$33 dollars per night and will be in your initial bill.
*As of last week, the parking fees have been waived for staying on resort property. We will keep the above information in case things change at a later date.
ATMs are 24-hours and located near the front desk at the Hospitality house.
Each room does come with complimentary Wi-Fi Internet.
Jogging Trails:
Old Key west features a 2.5 mile jogging trail.
Near the Sandcastle Pool playground you can enjoy some outdoor games like a large chess board or Connect 4.
There is also a beach volleyball court, tennis court and basketball court. Near the basketball court are some hammocks you can relax in.
