It’s Tough to be a Bug is a 3D short film based on the 1998 Disney Pixar film A Bug’s Life. It’s an educational but fun video hosted by Flik to teach humans why bugs are our friends.

You will find It’s Tough to be a Bug attraction inside the Tree of Life. Join the Bugs from A Bug’s Life as they make you honorary bugs and give you a bug’s eye view of what it’s like to be a bug.

The bug glasses will make you look like a bug and view the show in 3D.

Location:

animal kingdom discovering island you will find the entrance to the right of the tree of life.  the theater is inside the tree.

Lighting Lane:

yes this ride has one but you typically do not need a lighting lane for this ride. with 430 seats in the theater the most we had to wait for this was about 10 mins.

The Queue:

While you wait insert the tree before enter the theater look around at all the posters. They are all bug life versions of popular movies and we love looking around at all of them while we wait for the next show.

Handicapped Accessibility:

This attraction is Handicapped Accessible. You can stay in your wheelchair during the show.

Height Requirement:

because this is just a movie and not a ride the attraction has no height requirement. But read the warning below or watch the show online before deciding if this is right for you and your kids.

Ride Warning:

This attraction is loud, scary, and dark. If you are going with littles ones then I would suggest to get a seat by the exit so you can leave if you need to leave.

This attraction will make you feel like the bugs are really there in the room with you. With the 3D effect, wind blowing, loud bug noise, and even feeling bugs crawling on your seat.
