Cape May Cafe is Disney’s Beach Club Resort breakfast and dinner location. The theme is reminiscent of the capes of New England with light and airy colors and a very open and spacious dining room.

This restaurant features Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast where you can dine with Minnie and her friends over a great breakfast buffet. Cape May Cafe is closed for lunch and reopens for dinner. The dinner is called Seafood and More Dinner Buffet.

If you want to see characters make sure to plan a breakfast reservation. Breakfast is served from 7:30am-11:30am. So yes, that is correct, there are no characters at the dinner buffet.

If you love seafood, then Cape May Dinner is a great option but there will be no characters at dinner.

Cape May Cafe Location:

Cape May Cafe is located in Disney’s Beach Club Resort. This resort is located right next to Epcot.

As soon as you enter Beach Club you will find this restaurant in the lobby area just to the right.

How to get to Cape May Cafe:

The only downside of this location is traveling there when you are not staying on this property. Without monorail or Skyliner you have two options of getting to this resort.

Bus: You can take a bus to any park and then to the Beach Club Resort. Depending on the time of your reservation this could be very difficult.

Car: If you are traveling to Disney with a car then driving could be your best bet. You will be able to park on resort property for free with a dining reservation.

If you do not have a car, then you could always take an Uber/Lyft type of ride to the resort.

Pro Tip: If you are being dropped off at Cape May Cafe don’t pay for a ride back. Plan this on your Epcot day and walk to the park. Or grab a bus to the park you are visiting that day.

Breakfast Pricing:

During breakfast time you will find a fixed price for adults and children. A child is anyone who is 9 and under. These prices are before tax and gratuity.

  • $45 for an Adult
  • $29 for a Child

Reservation:

You will need a reservation for this breakfast, and it can fill up pretty fast. Make sure to schedule a reservation 60 days your Disney vacation.

Cape May Cafe’s Cancellation Policy:

If you can’t make your reservation, make sure to call and cancel at least 2 hours prior to your reservation time. If you fail to do this, you can be changed a $10 fee per person.

This is a major and recent change to Disney’s Dining Cancellation Policy. Prior to this change you had to cancel your reservations 24 hours in advance in order to avoid the fee.

  • Cancellation Advice: If you miss the 2-hour window still try calling the Dining reservation number to talk to them. Disney may be able to still help you out with the cancellation and possibly avoid the fee depending on the reasoning.

Listen for the announcement and don’t miss the surf style dance party with the characters. This was such a fun interaction to have with them and other guests in the restaurant.

Character Dining Pricing:

One thing about Disney is you will pay a premium for the experience. Character Dining are some of the most expensive dining options on Disney property. The food at these character dining experiences are usually a preset menu or buffet family-style dining. Typically, people review the food as good, but not the best as other non-character dining menus. That goes back to what we said about paying the premium. Always remember when you are making the Character Dining reservations you are also paying for the experience of meeting and interacting with Disney characters.

Cape May Cafe Breakfast Final Review:

We loved eating at Cape May Cafe for their character breakfast. It has a great atmosphere, and the dining room is huge. The food is basic breakfast foods, and honestly other breakfast buffets stand out a bit more for the food. Service is great as is almost all Disney restaurants. The character breakfast is the great for meeting and interacting with characters. Get their autographs and pictures with them.
