Astro Orbiter is the planetary spinning ride high in the sky of Tomorrowland at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Ride a 2-person rocket ship through space.

Astro Orbiter above The People Mover in Tomorrowland.

Similar to Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Astro Orbiter is a spinning ride, set high above Tomorrowland. Ride a rocket ship through different planets and constellations. It is really beautiful at night when it is all lit up.

Location:

Located in Tomorrowland at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, take an elevator to the top of The People Mover for this ride.

It is 2 stories up, so you have to ride an elevator to get to the ride.

Lightning Lane:

There is no Lightning Lane available for this ride. The line is not very long, but on busy days can have quite a wait. The wait does get lengthy due to having to go up and down the elevator.

Height And Age:

There is no height requirement for this ride. All ages can ride.

Handicapped Accessibility:

This ride is handicap accessible, but riders must be able to transfer to the ride vehicle. DAS is available for this ride as well. Wheelchairs and ECVs can be taken to the ride entrance.

Ride Review:

Astro Orbiters take place high above Tomorrowland where you ride in Buck Rogers style spaceships. This ride, while like Dumbo, is a spinning ride but it is much faster and also very high up. If you have a fear of heights beware. We recommend this ride at night. With it being a faster spinning ride, you really feel like you are flying through space on this ride.
