TRON Lightcycle Run a fast, high-stakes race set in the world of TRON. Hop on a Lightcycle Bike and race against the other teams for the win. Ride for Team Blue in the Grid.

The ride launches from inside the bay, runs on a track that is indoors and outdoors. It is really exciting and very fast.

You sit in the ride like you are riding a motorcycle. The Lightcycle locks in around your legs and you hold handlebars up front to experience riding the Lightcycle.

Location:

The ride is located in Tomorrowland behind Space Mountain. It is open from park open until park close.

A Virtual Que is the only way to get on the ride. The que opens on the app at 7am. You need to be quick to get a spot in the que. If you do not get in the que at 7am, you can try again at 1pm when the virtual que opens again.

Lighting Lane:

This ride does have Lightning Lane available. It must be purchased as an Individual Lightning Lane per person. It is not available as a Lightning Lane option through the regular Genie+.

Height And Age:

This is a rollercoaster so there is a Height Requirement of 48 inches or taller in order to enjoy this ride.

Handicapped Accessibility:

This ride is handicap accessible, but riders must be able to transfer to the ride vehicle. DAS is available for this ride as well, which you can use once you get in the virtual que. Wheelchairs and ECVs can be taken to the ride entrance.

There are some ride trains that have a regular rollercoaster seat available to those who may not be able to ride on the cycle style seats.

Locker Availability:

New to Magic Kingdom are the lockers that are at the ride entrance for all your gear. Most rides at Magic Kingdom you can carry your bags on and store them at your feet. On TRON Lightcycle Run you cannot carry anything on the ride with you.

Ride Review:

TRON Lightcycle Run is one of Disney’s most popular new rides. It is the same ride that was built in Shanghai China. The virtual que does make it a little difficult to get on the ride. If you are not on the app before 7am and ready to join the que you can miss it.

The ride itself is fast and quick. At only about 60 seconds, this ride does not take long to ride. We’ve really enjoyed it and try hard to get in the virtual que every visit to Magic Kingdom. If you can get in the que, we highly recommend this ride. It is a lot of fun.
