Tortuga Tavern is the Pirate-themed quick service restaurant located in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom. Enjoy a variety of fares from across the world at Tortuga Tavern.

Tortuga Tavern Grub and Grog is the main quick service restaurant in Adventureland at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. The restaurant is open with a lot of seating, and honestly is never that packed. It may be due to the smaller menu size than other quick service restaurants at Magic Kingdom.

The Menu:
Tortuga Tavern is open for lunch and early dinner with the same menu items. It typically is open from 11am until 5pm.
Please note: Menu Items are up to date as of the date of this post. The menu and specials and prices are subject to change.
Entrees:
Orange Chicken Strips – These were so good! I would highly recommend them. See picture below.

BBQ Pork Sandwiches – Served with House-made Chips.
BBQ Slaw Dogs –All-Beef Hot Dog topped with Barbecued Pork and Slaw served with House-made Chips.
All-Beef Hot Dog – Served with House-made Chips.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Hazelnut Spread and Banana Sandwich – This sandwich was loved by all of us, we even have been recreated at home.

Beverages:
They have assorted fountain drinks and bottled water serving Coca-Cola products.
They also have a specialty drink, the Desert Pear Lemonade Pirate Slushy. (pictured below)

The menu has changed, and they no longer serve the turkey legs here. We also enjoyed this a lot more than in years passed. Magic Kingdom does not have a lot of options for quick service and because of that we really enjoy this place with the updated menu. The menu is small though and they don’t have a lot of options, but we loved what we got.
The downside is there is not a kid’s menu. Our kids loved the sandwich, so it worked well for us. But if you are looking for the classic Mac and cheese, chicken tender, or Uncrushable menu like most Disney quick services have for kids this is not the place.
The Atmosphere:
They have an outdoor seating that does have some shade.

If open, they also have some indoor seating, but it is limited. Going off peak lunch or dinner hours is the best way to get a good spot inside.

The indoor seating area in the back room is themed amazingly. We loved the fun pirate decor inside. There’s a painting of Blackbeard along with a variety of other pirate decor items.

They also have bathrooms inside this small seating area, which is a big plus when dining with little ones.

Final Review:
We feel Tortuga Tavern is very underrated. Even at peak times it does not seem super crowded. The menu is small and limited, but the items are really good. The Peanut Butter sandwich is amazing. Chad even recreated it at home for us! The Orange Chicken strips are also really good, and full of flavor. We highly recommend this quick service now, where it used to be a place we would often skip.
