Epcot has two different character dining experiences, Garden Grill and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. Garden Grill is located in The Land section of Epcot, which is before you get into the World Showcase.

This post focuses on a lunch or dinner visit. Breakfast is available here, but we have not done that yet.

Pricing:

Breakfast pricing is $49 per adult and $33 per child. Lunch and Dinner pricing is more expensive than the breakfast is. The price for lunch and dinner is $62 per adult and $42 per child. This post focuses on lunch and dinner as we have not had breakfast there yet.

Menu Items are up to date as of the date of this post. The menu and specials and prices are subject to change.

the menu:

Lunch and dinner share the same menu. It is an All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Family style meal. The table will start with bread and butter and the Harvest-Inspired Garden Salad.

Currently, Garden Grill is serving cornbread with honey butter, but when we dined there last we were served dinner rolls and butter.

The main entrees:

The main dinner skillet consists of Backyard Grilled Steak with Chimichurri Sauce and Rotisserie-roasted Turkey served with pan gravy. When we ate there, the turkey was actually replaced with BBQ Chicken.

You also get served a variety of sides like mashed potatoes, green beans and macaroni and cheese.

Kid’s Meals:

So, Garden Grill does not have any kid specific entrees or items. Kids will have to share from the same skillet that comes to the table. Luckily, there are a lot of items hopefully your kids will enjoy.

Dessert:

Dessert is also a shared item for the table. The current seasons dessert is a Strawberry Shortcake served with whipped cream. When we were there, it was a berry shortcake.

Pluto is with them to round out the characters you will meet. He has a flannel collar on to go with the farm theme.

Signature Card:

You will receive a signature card when you leave Garden Grill. Some character dining experiences do not allow the characters to sign autographs at the table, so this card is for that.

Atmosphere:

The atmosphere is so fun. You sit in a rotating booth, that spins around different scenes from the Living with the Land ride. The characters will come visit you at your table. The theming is not as intense as some other character dining, because of the rotating dining room.

Character Dining Pricing:

One thing about Disney is you will pay a premium for the experience. Character Dining are some of the most expensive dining options on Disney property. The food at these character dining experiences is usually a preset menu or buffet family-style dining. Typically, people review the food as good, but not the best as other non-character dining menus. That goes back to what we said about paying the premium. Always remember when you are making the Character Dining reservations you are also paying for the experience of meeting and interacting with Disney characters.
