El Mercado de Coronado is Coronado Springs Resort quick service marketplace that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a grab and go area where you can get already prepared food and snacks. 

Coronado Springs Resort is a moderate resort. It is large and with the Destino Tower there are a lot of rooms for guests. There are a lot of good places to eat at the resort and El Mercado de Coronado is the large quick service restaurant at the resort. Serving hot and cold entrees and snacks from breakfast until dinner this restaurant is open from 7am until 11pm.

Location:

The El Mercado de Coronado is located off the Destino Tower in the conference center area. It is located right next to The Rix restaurant.

Dining Type:

This is a quick service style dining facility. You can order food from a variety of different stations and there is also a large grab and go area of options as well. There are some short times the during the day they close for cleaning and restocking for the next dining rush.

Atmosphere:

The atmosphere at the Coronado Resort is a Spanish, Mexican and South American vibe and that is carried over into the dining area of the El Mercado. From the brightly colored chairs to the Spanish style tiles the “open air” dining room, even though it is inside, gives a typical Spanish or South American eatery vibe.

El Mercado Menu:

There is something for everyone here at this quick service spot.

Breakfast:

These are perfect for a quick breakfast to take back to the room or eat before you head out to the parks. We love the different Breakfast Sandwiches available.

 

The Kids also have a couple breakfast options available as well.

All Day Items:

These items are available all day long. You can grab these and eat them on the go. These wraps, salads, and sandwiches are great options for a quick bite to eat.

There are some snacks and fruit available all day as well.

Lunch and Dinner:

There are some hot grab and go options available as well. These items are really good, and are great options for quick food.

The cold grab and go section has a lot of options as well.

Flatbread Menu:

These made to order flatbreads are excellent. Flatbread-style pizzas freshly prepared for you at the counters.

Made to Order Food Menu:

There are a lot of freshly prepared made to order foods to choose from as well.

Fresh Tossed Pasta Menu:

There is a freshly made pasta menu available at El Mercado. The menu is on a rotation so check it out before you go looking for something specific. The Chicken Parmesan is available every day.

Once you get your food or pick your grab and go you will then go to the cashier and check out. You can order you fountain drinks or refillable mugs there as well.

Kids Entrees:

These are the same for both lunch and dinner and are available every day.

The Hot Grab and Go menu are items that are prepared by the kitchen and kept in the hot grab and go menus. If you would like to get one with some substitutions you can request that from the kitchen staff.

Dinner Only Entrees:

These entrees are only available at dinner time. Like the pasta, they are on a rotation as well. Be sure to check the menu for what day you plan on going there to know what is available.

Sweets and Treats Menu:

There is also a really nice dessert and pastry counter you can get items from. From pastries and muffins to cupcakes and ice cream you can get a variety of sweet treats any time of day.

These are available all day. So yes, you can get a cupcake for breakfast if you would like!

There is also a dessert cooler where you can get pudding and a select few other cold desserts.

Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake:

Almost all of the Disney Resorts and Restaurants have a special celebration cake available. You can purchase it from El Mercado for your special occasion.

Beverages:

Refillable Mug ($21.99) – You can buy and refill your souvenir mug here.

Assortment of fountain and bottle drinks, beer, and wine.

Margaritas:

There are also margaritas available for lunch and dinner you can get made for you at El Mercado.

This is the fountain area for El Mercado. You can refill you mugs here and also get hot drinks like coffee and tea.

El Mercado de Coronado Final Review:

When staying at Coronado Springs Resort we have eaten here many times. It is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat and has great variety for the whole family. The dining area is large and there is always plenty of areas to sit.
